Vase in “pezzato” glass in the colour variant known as “Paris”

In all their simplicity, pezzato glassware provides one of the most significant examples of the rebirth of Murano glass after the Second World War. Presented for the first time at the 1950 Venice Biennale, they were shown in the catalogue as a group of one-of-a-kind pieces done with the chromatic fantasy of Fulvio Bianconi. The assembly of polychrome tesserae is, in fact, always variable and performed strictly by hand, making each vase unique despite similarities in form.
