Bottle in “Arlecchino pezzato” glass with polychrome tesserae

The Arlecchino Pezzato chromatic variant is both the most rare and famous expression of Fulvio Bianconi’s glassmaking art. In her biography, the critic Rossana Bossaglia praised the artist’s skilled craftsmanship in playing with chromatic asymmetry to accentuate the irregularity of the glass: “we all know that the glory of craftsmanship lies in the unrepeatable encounter of expertise with pure chance”.
