Ercole Barovier
Vase in Primavera glass, handles and rims in black glass

Vases in Primavera glass embody perfect balance between volumes and decorative particulars for the enhancement of the form. Fratelli Barovier exhibited them also at the Venice Bienniale to the appreciation of public and critics alike. The June 1930 issue of La Casa bella magazine dedicated ample space to these new creations, describing them as follows: “The beauty of these wares lies in their sense of balance: that is, in the way they succeed in tempering the audacity and the novelties of modern taste with the tradition of the Murano masters.”
