Chiara and Francesco Carraro dedicated their lives to collecting decorative art, the expression of their instinct to preserve an important testimony to Italian art at the start of the 1900.
The layout posed the objective of presenting all the works together as in a Gesamtkunstwerk, a productive dialogue between different arts that demonstrates the collectors’ sensitivity and taste. The collection is unique on the Italian panorama, from Severini’s spectacular mural saved from certain destruction to Quarti’s sitting room furniture, from Tofanari’s baboon to the Wildt’s busts.
